Does this make me a stalker???

On the way home from the zoo last week, we just had to drive down County Road P in Willows to make sure we weren't missing out on any birds. As I've mentioned before, this road is the best country back road for spotting Kestrels and all sorts of other birds and wildlife.

Sure enough, the same Kingfisher I've posted pics of in the past was in the exact same spot...

 Here's a red-tailed Hawk, perched high up on a telephone pole...

 And here is the best sighting of the day...

The only other time we've seen an Osprey was in a nest at the Shasta Dam. Here's the link to that post from last summer.

 Looks like this one has some remnants on its beak leftover from lunch...

 And finally, we saw a Kestrel, too! Not on a telephone wire as usual, but on a stump...

Gotta love those country roads!
