California Birding Hotspot - Part 1

I've probably said it a dozen times before, but I'll gladly say it again: The Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge is one of my favorite places on the planet. Not only is the landscape absolutely gorgeous, the variety of birds and wildlife we see there each time we visit keeps us coming back again and again for more!
Over the next few days, I'll be posting some pics from our Thursday visit to SNWR.






 We also saw our first Common Goldeneye! This one is a female:
There were no males to be seen. Maybe next time!
