The rain has let up, allowing the roads around
Llano Seco to finally reopen! We arrived at the wildlife area at 6:30 a.m. and had the place to ourselves the entire hour we were there.
This visit was even more memorable than ones in the past because all the flooding has kept us away for over a month. It's a wonderful experience to walk down the trail and watch the colors change as the sun rises.
We were greeted by the beautiful sound of meadowlarks and numerous flocks of blackbirds chattering in the trees.
