Backyard Birds

As much as I love going to the nearby wildlife refuge to look for birds, I sure love it when the birds come to me in my own backyard!

A flash of blue outside the window is always a wonderful sight to see...

And who doesn't love seeing the vivid stripes on a white-crowned sparrow's head as he checks out the bird bath?

This little yellow-rumped warbler had a look around the yard and decided he liked the dandelions best. (A great excuse not to mow the lawn!)

 A Savannah sparrow dropped by a few minutes later...

 And a flock of goldfinches flew in to see what all the fuss was about...
