A Birding First

We've never seen Sandhill Cranes at the Colusa National Wildlife Refuge before (we've only ever seen them at Llano Seco)...and there they were on the auto tour during our last visit!
The one below is definitely a juvenile because he doesn't have the red crown yet...

How nice to see these magnificent birds in more than one place!
They were mixed in with some Great Egrets, Cattle Egrets, Black-necked Stilts and White-faced Ibises...
What a thrill to see all of them in one spot!
