Winter Beauty

Just because it's the dead of winter doesn't mean the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge is any less beautiful. If anything, the landscape is even more stunning when the snow-capped mountains surround you and the air is cool and crisp.

We saw a little bit of everything during our visit:

American Wigeon

Black-tailed Deer

Black-crowned Night Heron

Bufflehead

Bald Eagle

Greater White-fronted Geese

Common Moorhen
