You are just about guaranteed to see at least one hawk perched on a telephone pole on the country roads between Llano Seco and SacNWR.

Hawks can be almost impossible to tell apart and identify, but this one is definitely sporting the red tail he's named for...

 It's amazing how different lighting can illuminate a bird in a photo!

And then there are the kestrels. You can usually see at least one of them, too!
