Autumn in Colusa

The heron rookery at the Colusa National Wildlife Refuge is sporting vibrant fall colors...

This particular spot on the auto tour is full of Black-crowned Night Herons, and this time we saw quite a few Snowy Egrets hanging around...

Further down the road, a Great Blue Heron was strutting his stuff...

Lots of geese and ducks are already competing for space...

I guess this Great Egret didn't feel like being alone...
