Why not fly?

These Killdeers walked along in front of us as we made our way out to the viewing area at the Llano Seco Wildlife Management Area...

 They were careful to stay a ways ahead of us and made the walk along the trail into a sort of game.

These little birds might be common where we live, but I'll never get tired of their worried faces and the neat sound they make!
