We just got back from a drive through the Lower Klamath and Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuges! It was an awesome trip and I can't wait to tell you all about it. Between finishing two more books, I also went on a winter hike to all 3 of the McCloud waterfalls. You can read all about it and watch the video over on my travel blog, Vaughn the Road Again. It's been busy around here at the Vaughn household and I'm not too happy about giving up an hour for Daylight Savings Time :( Oh, well, no rest for the weary, right?
As soon as I go through the 719 photos/videos we took at Klamath (which might take me weeks!), I'll have some more birding posts coming your way!

What an amazing bird! We've only seen a Rough-legged Hawk one other time and it was at this same refuge two years ago (almost to the day!) in the very same area. Here's the link to that post.
