Funny Foursome
We spotted this trio of mismatched birds at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge. They were really far away and my camera had a difficult time focusing at such a distance, but I had to post them anyway. How often do you see a Snowy Egret, White-faced Ibis and a (Gadwall? Mallard?) duck all in the same place at the same time?
A short time later, a shorebird (Western Sandpiper?) joined the group and can be seen on the right...
