For when I can't see them in person...

I found this beautiful Great Blue Heron canvas wall art (at Big Lots, of all places).

I dread the day I run out of wall space!

Heat Wave

It's been so hot (with a high of 113!) that even the birds are feeling the summertime blues.

"Bring on the cooler weather," they seem to be saying!

Birds and Blooms

Hummingbirds love the purple butterfly bush, too!

Hummingbird "action shots" are my favorite!

Hot Spot

This butterfly bush sure sees a lot of action!

Scrolling through my photos, I noticed this bush appeared quite often and decided to compile them all into one post. From birds to butterflies, everyone wants a go at the pretty purple blooms...

Palm Trees & Daydreams

Sometimes you just need to find a nice spot in the shade and sit back and relax...

Good Hair Day

This House Finch is looking extra red today...

And it looks to me like he's having a very good hair day, too...

Rub-A-Dub-Dub

These two sparrows cracked me up when I saw them in the bird bath together. They were really goin' to town and water was splashing everywhere!

 Wait for it...

Haha!  Their expressions are priceless!

Way to wash behind the ears, guys!
