Birding at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge in Northern California

We had so many wonderful sightings on the auto tour at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge, including our first-ever coyote at this refuge!

A few of our Sacramento Valley favorites were out enjoying this sunshiny morning, like colorful Western Meadowlarks, talkative Black Phoebes, adorable American Kestrels, and hungry Great Egrets, as well as some noisy migratory visitors such as Snow Geese and White-fronted Geese.
